RECOGNIZE THE NEED

All men need to be saved and fall short of God’s perfection. To receive salvation, one must first recognize that they need to be saved. Saved from what, you may ask? From the wrath of God that shall come upon all those who have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ (John 3:32).

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” --Romans 3:23

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” --Romans 3:10

All men are born with a sinful nature and are cut off from God.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” --Romans 5:12

It is the will of God for ALL men to be saved, regardless of past or present shortcomings. God's love and opportunity for eternal life is open to ANYONE who will take Him at His word.

"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it." -Mark 8:35

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." --1 Timothy 2:3-4

REPENT OF YOUR SINS (TURN AWAY FROM SIN)

Genuinely change your mind and turn away from your lifestyle of sin. Having heard the gospel of Jesus Christ you are presented with the opportunity and commandment to cease from practicing sin and to start practicing righteousness. This must be a committed decision on your part and sincere change of heart.

Repentance does not mean that you will become perfect in conduct, nor are you required to be perfect in lifestyle beforehand in order to receive salvation.

The crux of the matter though, is that you are absolutely and fully persuaded that the gospel is true, and that your conversion is a legitimate one.

Moreover, having repented of sin, your lifestyle will be that of practicing righteousness, as your consistent inclination will be towards pleasing God and doing those things that are right.

Understand that your lifestyle and conduct does not save you - Christ alone does - but you will strive to live righteously as a result of your salvation.

“. . . the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” --Mark 1:15

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” --Acts 3:19

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” -- 2 Peter 3:9

BELIEVE THE GOSPEL

Acknowledge as true that the gospel of Jesus Christ addresses you specifically.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is this: that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:16-23), died on the cross of Calvary for the sins of the whole world and was buried, but rose again from the dead 3 days later by the power of God the Father (John 19& 20, Mark 15 & 16).

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." --Romans 10:9-10

To believe this, is to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is this gospel that is now in effect and is actively saving souls daily, all over the world.

RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST

Receive the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only Son.

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." --John 1:12

“For GOD so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” --John 3:16

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come to condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” --John 5:24

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” --Acts 4:12

By receiving Christ for your soul’s salvation, you are now eternally saved, having been born again spiritually.

“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” --John 3:7

BRAND NEW YOU

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." --Romans 6:4

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." --2 Corinthians 5:17

As a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, you can expect to embrace a new fullness of life, as God has promised abundant life to those that belong to Him.

Jesus says in John 10:10, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

In addition to obtaining eternal security for your soul, God will take care of you during your earthly life as well, providing for your every need, far beyond what you may ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Moreover, being now reconnected with God, you have full access to His knowledge, wisdom, understanding, ability, power and resources. Your are therefore now positioned and equipped with the tools necessary to discover and live out your divine purpose day by day.
